By now you’ve heard about how big Surrey’s annual Canada Day celebrations are: the incredible performers, the family fun, and the patriotic attractions. But we all know one of the BEST parts of any festival is the array of food options.
That’s right, it just wouldn’t be Canada Day without those classically Canadian dishes that we all know and love, with the variety to shake things up if your taste-buds have a tingling for something a little different. With over 20 food trucks and vendors on scene for July first, we’ve got the highlights that you won’t want to miss.
Pick up a plate of ooey-gooey poutine from Big Red Poutine Truck, or snack on some Canadian Kettle Corn. Maple Lodge Farms will be on site serving up smokies, and if a cup of Joe in the morning is mandatory in the morning, Tim Hortons is serving up your daily Double Double. Triple O’s sauce is practically an Canadian institution, and the White Spot truck will be on-site to satisfy your hunger.
Bobbie’s Food Truck specialises in authentic and fusion Indian cuisine with staples like Tikka Masala and Lamb Curry. Jamaican Mi Juicy brings fresh Caribbean flavours to Canada Day, as well as fresh-fruit smoothies and hand-cut yam fries.
Mr. Frosty’s Ice Cream is your go-to when you need something sweet and cool during the day, or pick up a gourmet waffle at Beljam’s Waffles. And of course, there will be Mini Donuts for all!
If we just seriously stirred up your appetite, we’ll be seeing YOU at Surrey Canada Day! Be sure to pop by our information booth and say hello!
