It’s the Instagram generation. Photography has never been so popular because it’s never been easier to share your photos with friends (or random strangers) thanks to social media. But with everyone taking photos all the time, how do you stand out among the crowd? Everybody knows about the popular Instagram spots in Metro Vancouver like the Capilano Suspension Bridge and basically the entirety of Gastown. Luckily for you, there’s a largely untapped wealth of Instagram content right here in Cloverdale. Below you’ll find a list of some of our favourite photography spots in Cloverdale that are sure to generate likes no matter what filter you use.
Urban Safari Vintage
Trick your followers into thinking you travelled back in time by visiting Urban Safari Vintage (5754 176 Street). Filled with thousands of hand-picked records, vintage clothing, and antique furniture, it’s a space frozen in time. Every corner of the store is a photo-op.
Boothroyd Heritage Coffee
Cafes are all the rage. Coffee is the most popular drink in the world (other than water, duh) and Canadians especially love a good cup of joe. But it’s not always about just the coffee, the vibe of the coffee shop is what gets you in the door. Boothroyd Heritage Coffee (16811 60 Avenue) is an especially interesting place to grab your morning caffeine fix because it’s based out of a local heritage site. The house was built in 1873 and has been kept in great shape.
Christ Church Heritage Site
Built in 1884 by Surrey’s pioneers in a Gothic style, the Christ Church (16631 Old McLellan Road) is not only a local heritage site, but it’s listed on the Canadian Register of Historic Places. The Church is a popular film shoot location, used in television shows like Psych, Stargate SG-1, and Fringe.
