Last weekend was Surrey’s annual Vaisakhi Parade, the biggest outside of India, and despite a few raindrops, the vibrant colours of the festival outshone those pesky clouds. In fact, this year’s celebration absolutely shattered previous attendance records, as 400,000 people took to the streets of Surrey in celebration of Nagar Kirtan.
There was great food, loud music, and of course a beautifully decorated parade with stunning displays and performances. In case you’re suffering from a serious bout of FOMO, or you’re already wanting to re-live the the good times of the festival, we’ve rounded up a few snapshots from this year’s festivities.
